Kestral flying off

Farlington Marshes was the destination on the 12th February,  the weather was not kind being overcast.  However the Kestrals were.  Showing well in the trees near the paths. This first one that I saw and photographed was balancing carefully on one leg. Later on another Kestral was spotted – again perched up high – before flying off when I pointed my Canon 100-400mm lens at it.  This is the sequence

Kestral at Tuckton Effected

I was fortunate to come across a very patient and docile Kestral, sitting in a tree on a sunday walk from Tuckton to Hengistbury Head today.  I took a shot from the distance that I first saw the Kestral, as normall when you get close to a raptor, it will take flight. However, much to my suprise this one did, not and with these next images, I was more or
