Ardessie Falls

Upper Ardessie Falls

Ardessie Falls are a set of falls that, offer the photographer to take some shots of the impressive falls, and additionally take views over Little Loch Broom off the North West Coast of Scotland. The Falls are located at Ardessie Wester Ross, which is on the A832 between Poolewe and Ullapool.

There is limited road side parking in a layby nearby. The lower falls can be viewed from the roadside, however photographically they are not as good as the ones higher up. The walk is over rough ground, and walking boots are essential. The walk takes around 30 mins on a round trip to walk, and does go near the edges of the falls, so care is required. The path is also not a clearly defined path. If you have a GPS guider then I recommend taking the walk summary from Walkhighlands walk description page.

By far the most impressive falls are the upper ones in my opinion, and don’t forget to look round at the Loch and the mountains on the other side.
